During her studies, Helene Haagh has investigated different aspects of how to ensure fine-grained access to encrypted data. This includes the developments of a cryptographic scheme that provides different users with different access rights that restrict whom they are allowed to receive from and whom they are allowed to send to. Thus, a user with access to some secret data should not be able to send these data to the public or other users that should not have access to these data.

In addition, Helene Haagh has investigated how to use a computer to ensure the correctness and security of cryptographic protocols such that there are no faults to exploit in the system, and no one can extract secret information or manipulate the data.

The PhD degree was completed at the Department of Computer Science, Science and Technology, Aarhus University.
