University elections 2018

This year, the elections to the PhD committees, the study boards, the Academic Councils and the Aarhus University Board take place from Monday, 12 November 2018 at 9.00 to Thursday, 15 November 2018 at 16.00.

As for the Aarhus University Board, only enrolled, but not employed, PhD students can stand for election and vote.

As for the Academic Council, only enrolled, but not employed, PhD students can stand for election and vote. See the current members of the Academic Council here.

As for the Study Boards, only PhD students who are enrolled on the basis of their Bachelor’s degree and on their part A (i.e. not yet employed) can stand for election and vote.

As for the PhD committee, both employed and non-employed PhD students can stand for election and vote. See the current members of the PhD committee here.


Period for nomination of candidates:

If you wish to stand for election, please note that the period for nomination of candidates runs from Thursday, 18 October 2018 at 9.00 to Friday, 26 October 2018 at 12 noon. See the forms/documents for nomination in Danish or in English.


The election fields for the PhD committee are:

• Department of Agroecology, Department of Environmental Science (1 mandate)
• Department of Bioscience (1 mandate)
• Department of Computer Science, Department of Geoscience, Department of Engineering (1 mandate)
• Department of Physics and Astronomy, Department of Chemistry, Department of Mathematics, iNANO (1 mandate)
• Department of Food Science, Department of Animal Science (1 mandate)
• Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (1 mandate)
